Easter is a Christian holiday festival which is celebrated on the resurrection of the Jesus Christ, according to the beliefs of Christians on the third day after the crucifixion as explained in the New Testament. Furthermore, this festival is preceded by Lent, which is named after a period of forty days which involved prayer, fasting, and penance.
The holiday is actually moveable, which means that it is not celebrated on any calendar date, rather the First Council of Nicaea determined its date as the first Sunday taking place after the full moon which is to be followed by the March equinox. However, this equinox is supposed to be taken place on 21 March every year, and the Easter dates follow closely to this date. Now, Easter is celebrated in the range of 22nd March and 25th April including these dates.
